They are too big to get really good images on the ultrasound. Mostly they can only see a few body parts at a time. I have lots of pictures of their profiles, but about a month ago they were able to get this cute picture. Probably the last time they'll be able to stretch out their legs!
I told Jake the other day that it feels like there is an octopus inside me. Then I realized that there kind of is -- 8 limbs!
I've noticed that I have popped red blood cells all over my body. Especially on my face and my upper arms/shoulders. This is a normal pregnancy change. Ahhh, the joys of pregnancy!
Besides that, everything seems to be going fine. Blood pressure, sugar levels, amniotic fluid, cervical length ... everything is normal. The main reason I go in every two weeks is to check the cervical length. If it starts to shorten that's one of the major indicators that your body is going into preterm labor. My c-section is scheduled for Monday May 13th. Which is 37 weeks and 1 day. I told Jake that I think I can make it til then (since I have so much control). But man, my belly is getting uncomfortable and tight! I can't imagine what it's going to be like over the next 3 MONTHS! Logically I want to keep them inside as long as possible, but man, I think that's going to be a real challenge.
It seems like whenever we go out we meet another couple with twins. They are always so supportive and instantly want to help with whatever they can. It's like a little club. I have a bunch of emails and I doubt I'll need them, but it's nice to know so many people have survived - even enjoyed this experience!

I remember the tight feeling at the end of pregnancy and can't imagine having to stretch three more moths past that. Good luck to you! We're all here rooting for you. :-)
I am now totally creeped out at the idea of you having an octopus in your belly. And I know you don't really, but that's all I can picture.
