Our Little Engineer!

Scarlett's been enjoying her new Christmas toys.  She watched me put together her stroller.  Then instead of pushing it around she picked up the tools and started working on it!  I love my little engineer!!!

We had a week of super warm weather (like 60s) but this week the arctic air blew in and now we're in the single digits.  So we made a trip to the Home Depot for some ice tools - and a sled.  :-)

Helping me with the laundry.

First time with French braids.  I strapped her down with my legs and braided as fast as my little fingers could fly.  But I'm not sure it was worth the 2 min it took to do since she was mad at me for like an hour afterward.

Aw, what cute hair! One benefit/curse of having all boys...no hair to style. :-)

They're so cute!! I don't have the ability to french braid--not other people's hair, and certainly not my own. I would totally sit still for you to do it to me. ;)

It's a good thing you have all those skills, since you're having all those girls!

So fun--you'll have to get her some tools for her next birthday!

Of course, one of my brothers liked to design things and could make AMAZING things out of paper, like boxes that wouldn't open without their paper key, etc. When I was little, he (and others who will remain unnamed) decided to send me down the stairs in a box. But they made me a paper helmet first...uh...

Good luck, twins, while Scarlett engineers things for you!!

I wonder how long it will be before one day you wake up from a nap to find Scarlett pushing one baby in the cart and the other one in the seat.....Oh the helper she will be. I remember a little girl who looked a lot like Scarlett, who tied up her infant sister up so she would no longer shake.
