Cribs

This weekend we started working on the twin's room.  I have a good friend who teaches at a Montessori school and they have cribs in the young classrooms for nap time.  Well, something changed this year with the laws and they can't have cribs with slats, they had to replace them with mesh side cribs (?not sure if I'm getting that 100% right) anyways... so she snagged two of the slat cribs for us.  For free!  THANKS KENZIE!!!

They are compact sized cribs which fit perfect in their room.  And Scarlett even helped her daddy assemble them.  She also rearranged his socket wrenches......

We tested them out on our twin Elmos.  Then Scarlett decided she also wanted to try them out.

I'll be honest, when we were done putting these up Jake and I both had a "holy moly, this is really happening" moment.  Yes, I know we should be used to the idea by now - but for whatever reason sometimes reality hits us hard.  We had another similar moment when babysitting our friend's two kids the other day: "holy moly, this is going to be how many kids we have EVERY DAY."  It doesn't matter if we get used to the idea or not, they're still coming!

It would not surprise me if you came into the girl's bedroom and Scarlett was in one of the cribs holding both babies. Hee hee

When our twins were first born, we even had them sleep in the same crib (the first several months they slept just outside my room in a graco playpen/bassinet together). When you first see their tiny bodies, you'll wonder if they'll EVER fit into those HUGE cribs :) They might feel big when they're inside you, but so little when they're in your arms :)

Oh, and by the way, you are so incredibly tiny! I'm sure you feel big, but you look FANTASTIC!!

Hooray for free stuff! Those cribs look great - and I'm glad you didn't have to fork out for two new cribs. They're expensive, as I recall.

Scarlett is so cute - I love that picture of her cuddling her Elmos. And I love that you have 2 Elmo dolls. There are many toys that we had to get 3 of...I see several more Elmos in your future. :-)
