Hotel to Townhome

Our first 4 days in Michigan were spent inside a hotel room.  Scarlett made good use of our king size bed.

When we were at Meijer Scarlett spotted a bin full of "bubbles".  She picked one out and hasn't put it down since!

Our hotel provided amazing views of DTW takeoffs and landings!

The movers came on Monday to unload our stuff in our new townhome.  They were super fast and even set up our beds.  They told me they would unpack if I would like, but they just unload everything to the floor - so I opted out of that option.  Since I'm not working, I thought I would be able to unpack in no time.  Reality check: unpacking with a toddler takes waaaaay longer than expected!

Scarlett was super helpful while the movers unloaded the stuff:

Every box/item they brought in our house had a sticker on it.  They would call out "yellow 284" or "blue 88" and I would mark it off on my bingo sheet (that's what they called it).  Then once everything was unloaded we were able to check what boxes were missing - compare them to the inventory list - and go through and make sure that it was really here.  As far as a I know, everything made it safe and sound.  Now if I could only find what I need.  I guess that's my only complaint with having someone else box up your house: I have no idea where they put anything.  But it doesn't bother me enough to want to pack myself in the future! ;-)

One move LL made, the movers boxed things up so weird. She would find kitchen stuff in a bathroom trashcan, etc. Took her forever.

Hopefully, your movers boxed with some sort of order...

That is one sleepy baby! So far all the Michigan pictures I've seen are her sleeping in her stroller at the airport, on the plane, at the hotel, in the car, and on the couch. When I recommended drugging her to make travel manageable, I was half kidding. How much Benedryl did you give her?! Or is she still sleeping off her big meal from Famous Dave's? :)
