Teeth & Toots

Scarlett has 2 teeth!!  (She got her 1st tooth on Oct 30 and her 2nd tooth on Nov 9)

She loves back scratches.  When she's tired under her eyes get red and she twirls hair - but she fights falling asleep.  She is starting to throw little tantrums now .. uh oh!  She'll arch her back and scream if I try to buckle her in her car seat when she doesn't want to go.   She hates hates hates baby food.  But she loves loves loves the melt-a-way puffs.

She got her first sliver - ouch!  We had to triple team her to get it out.  She sits up like a pro but is not even interested in crawling.  She loves to talk: bababa, mamama, dadada.  She has a high pitched, sweet little voice!  But last Sunday all during Sacrament Meeting she just grunted!  Why couldn't she have made one of her many cute sounds?!?  hahaha!

I'm including this story specifically for James...
Last Friday Jake, Scarlett and I went to the BYU Hockey game at 7peaks.  Back in the day Jake had roommates that were on the team (now they are coaches!)  So when we were sitting close to the ice, Jake explained the funky smell was the player's pads.  In his apartment they had a rule - all hockey pads had to be stored on the deck outside cause they smell gross!

Anyways, during the game Scarlett started to toot.  Not normal, funny toots.  These were like ATOMIC - CLEAR THE ROOM - GAS MASKS EVERYONE toots!!!!!  (She had been stinking it up for the whole day - I think she was working out a bug she had).  I was nervous that someone would smell her and throw up or something, but Jake said not to worry cause Hockey is notorious for smelling bad.  During the 2nd period I noticed the people behind us were talking about the smell.  I looked out of the corner of my eye and saw them fanning the air - one was even covering her nose!  So finally I turned around and fessed up.  I explained that it wasn't the players but actually my sweet darling tiny dainty little lady!  I told them if I knew what I had eaten that caused her to smell that way, I would banish it from my diet forever!  We all laughed at Scarlett's "talent".

During the 3rd period we moved to the top of the bleachers so I could nurse Scarlett.  We looked down where we were sitting - and those people had moved!  I guess they were afraid that we were going to come back and taint their clean air!  hahaha

That is so funny! I don' know that I would've 'fessed up to the baby smell. I think I would've just gone with smelly hockey players... ;)

Ha ha! When Javi was a baby he would have the smelliest, loudest gas. We actually stayed home from Jer's graduation because Javi was having such a foul day I couldn't possibly imagine taking him out in public. :-)

So funny! I'm sure Scarlett will have a good sense of humor and be able to laugh at this post when she is older...as long as you don't write any more like it when she is older!
