Jami and my mom got to come see the twins at my 26 week appointment. The technician kept trying to take 3D pictures but Twin A's face was in my pelvis and even though Twin B's head was just under my ribs, her legs were blocking her face! You can see her acrobatic skills in one of the pictures below: (right column middle picture)
I went and saw my normal OB the next day. When my mom and I walked back to the examination room a lady I have never seen before was like "oh yay! this must be our mother of twins!" ?!? Turns out she was from an ultrasound machine company. The office was buying new equipment and they wanted to demo it on my belly. So we got another peek at the girls and I got another belly rub! Win win! Also, at 26 weeks I was measuring 31 weeks.
At 28 weeks:
Twin A: 2 lb 9 oz
Twin B: 2 lb 12 oz
When walking out of Chilis a few days ago we heard some girl say "that girl is big pregnant". So I guess I'm showing. In fact the JW's came by to drop off an Easter flyer and I was wearing a huge fluffy animal print bathrobe cause I was sick. The lady looked at me and said "I remember being sick when I was pregnant too". I was so surprised she could tell I was prego through the billowing fabric. So ya, I think I'm finally starting to look like there are two peas in my pod. Yay!
And also, oh no! With that ginormous belly comes lots of back pain. I can't be on my feet that long. My nose feels constantly stuffy. When I lie down they float up into my lungs making it really hard to breathe at night - especially annoying when we read scriptures and I have to breathe 10 times per sentence. I can't keep a thought or remember as well. There was a game on Blue's Clues where you had to guess what toy they hid and I couldn't figure it out - a preschool show was dominating me. I often forget what I want to say mid-sentence. It's really annoying. Also, some mornings I've woken up with hives/red bumps all over my belly. It's called PUPPS and is a super annoying rash caused by my skin stretching so fast. Ugh.
In Walmart I was pushing the cart all by myself and I heard this guy say "she looks ready to pop" (ironically I was buying ice cream at the time). I turned around to explain that I still had a few months. Well his wife told me she had twins too and could relate. Then I noticed she looked at my wedding finger (no ring - it hasn't fit in weeks) and she looked up at me and said, "oh honey, do you have any help?" I thought that was so sweet she was worried about me. I explained that my husband was home with our daughter and my family will by flying in to help with the newborns. After that I decided I would wear a fake ring when I went out so I don't look so pathetic.
Jake and I went on a hospital tour where I'll be delivering. There were about 12 pregnant girls on the tour. At the beginning the nurse giving the tour asked "has anyone had a baby before?" I was the only one to raise my hand. "Is anyone having a scheduled c-section?" Again, just me. "Is anyone having multiples?" Everyone kinda chuckled as I was the only person to raise my hand again. The hospital is really nice and isn't too far from our home. It has a level 3 NICU that hopefully we won't need. When we were in one of the post pardum rooms the nurse said that they like the baby to be in the room with the mother as much as possible. I raised my hand and asked if they could go to the nursery if we needed sleep and I could tell some of the new moms looked at me with disgust. haha! Just you wait honey! But I'll admit I kinda had a panic attack thinking about both babies being in the room alone with just me. Deep breaths everyone!
27 weeks with Twins vs 41 weeks with Scarlett.
Scarlett already loves the babies!

I think you look great still! Plenty of room to grow and not even two months left of growing to do. You can make it!
You are looking magnificent! Keep up the good work!
I love that all you got to answer all of the questions in the affirmative at the hospital. It's a good thing that you look pregnant or they would've thought you were just messing with them. :)
One of my old roommates had PUPPS with her first baby and she said it was the worst. So, so sorry.
You look really gorgeous in the candid photo with Scarlett. Must be that pregnancy glow.
I remember after #4 being so happy to take a deep breath again. This may be the pregnancy where you spend the last couple months just crawling or scooting around on your bum to deal with the joint and back pain. It's not fun for the mom, but toddlers certainly find it amusing! My girls loved that I spent a month crawling around on the floor with them when #3 was in utero.
i love reading about your life! you are awesome!
