Scarlett loves balloons:
Enjoying a dinner of mashed 'nanas:
Wearing our matching South Carolina shirts (in honor of Elder Seaver):
and yes... in order to find matching shirts I had to shop in the kids section....
This is Scarlett showing how she can go up and down the stairs. She also says "baby" at the beginning (finally got it on tape!)
More about this little lady...
- She can turn on/off our PS3 - she loves to eject the CDs and use them as hand-skis while she crawls
- She does NOT like cherry puffs. We've even tried to sneak them in her mouth while she's eating other flavors (like sweet potato or banana) but nope - she spits them right out!
- If she hears you eating she will smack her lips noisily as she crawls over to you and paws at your feet til you share your food with her
- If she knows she's getting into trouble she will crawl really fast, faster than her arms can handle, and she'll face plant. Like when she sees we left the gate open on the stairs, or if the bathroom door is open and she doesn't think we're watching her...
- Clicks her tongue and grinds her teeth (yikes! luckily they're baby teeth!)
- Doesn't cry much/long when she bonks her head, just needs us to acknowledge her injury then she's done crying
- If you're holding her she will point to where she wants to go - it's funny though cause her finger is straight but her wrist is bent almost 90 degrees
- Pulls herself up to standing all over the house and walks while holding on to stuff
- I think she has my hands (ie: lots of lines on the palms)
- Sits up then uses her legs to spin in circles, sometimes while she's reading a book not even paying attention to her spinning
- Crawls "normal" now, well... sometimes. She utilizes many crawling styles depending on her desired speed and what she's trying to look at while crawling
- Sometimes she will be sitting on her bum and get really excited, so she lurches forward from her bum to her knees and catches herself with her hands, it looks like it would hurt but she doesn't seem to mind

Ha! I love that dishwasher stare! So evil and so cute. Given our dishwasher troubles, though, it gives me heartburn to see her sitting on the door. Oh to rent again!
She looks a lot like her Grandma (Glauser) in the first high chair photo.
I got about three minutes into the stair video and had to stop because it was giving me motion sickness! But I'm glad you were ready to catch her, and I'm glad she didn't need catching. :)
Once when one of LL's kids started crawling the "normal" style, LL referred to it as "civilian" since there's not a good name for it and it's not the army crawl. So that's what I always think when people talk about normal crawling now.
She is so hilarious. Up and down the stairs over and over. What a little doll!
But really, Jenni, don't wash her in the dishwasher. She might gum up the insides or something. ;)
