... cause I react with everything! (that joke is for you Snort!)
But seriously - I'm am allergic to EVERYthing!
Example: we go to our apartment gym before work everyday - I haven't had any problems. I can run 3 miles without getting wheezy at all (which is a big feat if you remember asthmatic Jen). But today was different.
I don't know what changed - but when I was sprinting at the end of my run I started to get a bad asthma attack - and my eyes were a little itchy. By the time we left the gym, walked through the parking lot and into our apartment things had taken a dramatic turn for the worse. I could barely breathe and my eyes were swollen. I took a Benedrayl and did my neb. While I was sitting on the couch recuperating, I noticed that I had hives all over my body - I went to look in the mirror and saw my eyes were almost swollen shut! At this point my mouth started to tingle - so I swallowed another Benedrayl and jumped in a cold shower (cool down the blood and get whatever was bugging me off my skin).
Needless to say - I'm alive still! But today was rough. I couldn't put on makeup and I looked like an alien for the first few hours of work. Plus, with 2 Benedrayls in the system I was SOOOO sleepy (not the best time to make engineering decisions)! I downed a DP and a Coke then held on til the end of the day. My eyes are still puffy - but I'm hoping a good night's sleep will take care of the rest!
Normal Jenni Allergic Reaction Jenni (the red face and crazy hair could be from my run, but it adds dramatic effect!) Yikes!
I called our gym office and they said nothing had changed (chemically, etc) that they knew of, but that they would have the maintenance staff sterilize it tonight. Maybe some smoker, who owns 1 million cats and only cooks with peanut oil decided to rub themselves all over the treadmill?)

That's probably exactly what happens! It's crazy how you can suddenly get a reaction like that. I hate it when stuff happens to me like that, and it's never as bad as what happens to you! Glad you survived, even if it made for a rough day at work.
Makes me wonder if there was mold in the air?
Maybe before you run in there again you should see how it is to sit in the room before you open yourself up to heavy breathing and open pores.
Is your Epi Pen up to date?
Love Ya
So sad! Abby has a ton of allergies...as she gets older I'll have her call you when she has problems since you're an expert (I know not by choice--sorry).
I wonder if there is something in the air this week? Emily's asthma hasn't bothered her in YEARS, and she had such a bad asthma attack that she couldn't breath and had to go home--no more marching band for her tis week.
Hope you're feeling better, and that this doesn't keep happening!
And by the way...even your dramatic makeupless look is still smokin hot! ;) You're too beautiful to ever look bad!
WOW, sounds like You, Emily and Berlyn all had the same thing this week. What a crazy week for all of you. I'm so sorry you felt yucky, but like Natalie said, you still look beautiful!!
Love you....
That is crazy. When we took our cat to the vet Javier was fine, and then he suddenly wasn't - face all swollen and distorted, red, itchy, all messed over. And we were just sitting there - nothing changed but his cute face.
BTW, I look like Allergic Reaction Jenni pretty much all the time. You're lucky you only have that face when the allergies hit. :-)
I still can't believe that happened! CRAZY!!! If you had gone to the doctor he may have diagnosed you with swine flu. ha ha just kidding. It seems like every illness is related to swine flu. :)
see, that's why I don't exercise. I just don't understand how anyone can claim it's good for your health!
