In mid-January we took the whole family to NAIAS (North American International Auto Show). Berlyn had the idea that we should all wear plaid. It was fun and tons of people got a kick out of the plaid family. The girls loved all the cars they could climb around in. The Ford area had an awesome Lego statue and they let us build little Ford racing guys. Then they gave us extra little Lego guys!
On the 80th day of school Scarlett got to dress like the 1980s. We woke up early and crimped her hair. The twirls wanted their hair crimped too. So I had to let Skye join in on the fun!
Our 10 year anniversary! Holy smokes I can't believe it's been a decade. Time really does fly when you're having fun! We went to a fabulous vegan restaurant! More on the whole vegan thing in another post....
The girls are finally old enough to play outside longer than it takes to put their winter clothes on!
Jake showing the girls a boiling water cloud. Science rules...
Trying to blow freezing bubbles...
Jake made a sledding track for the girls...
Space pants! Jake showed the girls this song, they sing it every time they wear these pants:
Marble toy! I'm so impressed with how the girls can build these! We practice connecting open ends and with catching ends.
Skye is really into jewelry. She is also a great eater!
Pretending to eat out of Jake's hand...
Skye asking me "can you help me?" right at the beginning of this video...
Scarlett lost several teeth. Her loose teeth make it hard to eat apples. In fact, one night it took so long to eat one that she finished it in the shower! haha! She loves that our tooth fairy (different fairies come to different families) well, ours does dollar bill origami. I think our tooth fairy is probably a little upset that she started doing origami and now has to keep it up at 10pm. But still fun for our girls. Thank goodness there are TONS of youtube tutorials for ideas... we have a lot of teeth that still need to fall out.
Ballet, gym preschool time, birthday party at McDonalds, and library story time. Playgroup at the church. Ways to survive Michigan winters!
The twirls practicing their tap dance routine for the ballet recital in May...
I got some new kitchen knives for Christmas, within two days I was in instacare getting all put back together after a little celery mishap. The cut was too close to the nail to get stitches, so they gave me steristrips. Also, one of my allergy shots got in the limp node and grew all huge. Also, look at the cute pictures Siena and Jake took on their daddy daughter date. And a little girl in our ward has the same dress as Skye, so they were twinners in nursery.
The girls were pulling each other around on the blanket. Even Skye loved it!
Jake doing his kettlebell exercises....
Snort told us about this youtube channel called Art for Kids. My girls love it and I have been so impressed with their drawings!
Siena and Jaide had puppies in their tummies!
Hanging out with friends. Yes, the Sawayas got a BOUNCE HOUSE for Christmas. Laura has become the most popular mom in the ward!

The booty pictures cracked me up! (Pun intended.....genetic, you know...)
I have had about a half dozen very close calls with my knives lately....not sure what is up with that. Hopefully you've healed up nicely!
