Silly December Moments

Skye is just changing so much!  It is so fun to get to know her little personality.  She is usually so upbeat and happy, but she has started throwing tantrums.  One day she was screaming in my arms while I was trying to rock her and then she threw herself over the armrest of the rocking chair and passed out!  haha! (see photo).  She is just a little cutie.  I had to put the child lock on the light switch because she was turning her light on in the middle of the night.

I turned the camera so Skye could see herself while I asked her to say our names...

Skye showing off her two feet lift-off bouncing skills...

Skye showing off her counting skills...

The girls are so silly and creative when they play. Jaide wore a bib that Snort made for Scarlett when she was a baby! Jaide also learned to say "I Love You" in sign language. It's her favorite thing to do when we say goodbye or good night. Scarlett loves this engineering roller coaster puzzle game that Baby Juniper gave them for Christmas. All 4 girls wearing their hair turbans. So cute!

Skye likes to go down the slide, listen to her say "ready settey go!"

Siena: "Jaide told me that Jesus likes when we make a big mess."  haha!
Siena: "Close and clothes kind of rhyme."
‎Jaide kissed my cheek in the middle of the night to wake me up with a bad dream, it was really sweet.
The twirls watched home videos and saw one where I said "goodbye", they came upstairs to me crying and emotional, I had to reassure them I wasn't leaving.  haha!  Must have been a powerful movie!

Look at these silly twirls.  No idea what game they were playing on the sit and spin, when I found them like that.  The bottom right photo looks like they are staring in a mirror!  And no, I have no idea why they are wearing gloves, hats and mittens on their feet!

Scarlett, holding up two snowflake stickers: "Mom these are the same!"  (Me: "Ok, so?")  "I thought that no two snowflakes are the same." haha!
‎Scarlett: "I don't want to ever be 8 years old cause I don't want to fast, I will be too hungry!"
‎Scarlett to sisters: "The longer you hold your pee the stronger your bladder muscles will be."

Scarlett getting a trimester citizenship and attendance award.  Scarlett wearing Christmas socks in memory of Mrs. Roy's passing (see the flowers next to her memorial tree).  Scarlett wanted a Christmas tree the last day of school before the break.

I found all these drawings from Scarlett.  One Sunday she went to church with me (everyone else was sick).  I made a code for her to break.  It was so fun when she decoded "I will tickle you" she looked up to me with a huge grin!

At the allergist with their new denim jackets.

Fun around our home.  Skye running from Jake's drone.

A Gaggle of Glauser Girls!  (welcome to my life!)
Jake got an email from a Jeep dealership about his recent oil change. He was worried about our credit card getting stolen. He called, it was a legit Jacob Glauser in rural New York. They just got his email wrong. The funny thing was that a few weeks later Jake got another email from an Apple store in Utah about his new Apple watch. Again, we were concerned about fraud. Jake called and turns out that it was ANOTHER Jacob Glauser in Utah (that we don't know). Crazy!!!

Jake and Siena showing Skye how a balloon flies around (she was scared but she also loved it!)

Library story and game time.  Skye wasn't too impressed with the toddler seat in the bathroom.

Having fun with friends!

I was yelling "Siena" cause she was being a stinker in the other room.  Skye was helping me be the mom...

Jake took the girls outside to play in the snow.  Skye lasted for about 10 min, the twirls for an hour, and Scarlett was out there until Jake finally make her come inside!

Jake and Scarlett built an awesome sledding track, look how fun it is...
At the beginning of December Jake and I went to a funeral for the mom of one of his home teachees. We were there a little early. I was looking at the program and saw there wasn't a pianist. I asked the bishop who was walking by about it; he said "I was thinking we could sing acapella or use the music from my phone." haha, so I told him I would play and Jake could lead. There were like 60+ people there, and most of them weren't LDS, so I hope that the piano helped add to the spirit of the meeting. When the bishop conducted he said "Jenni Glauser will accompany on the piano and her husband will lead." haha, he didn't even say his name! Well the next day I got called as the primary pianist. The bishop laughed because of the timing with the funeral. But they submitted my name and decided on it a few weeks before that. I'm so sad to be leaving YWs, but it will be fun to see the girls in primary. The first Sunday I went to Primary, they didn't even introduce me. I was just sitting in my dunce corner, too short to see over the piano, for 2 hours, buns achy on the hard bench, no fanfare. haha! Quite a change from teaching the laurels. But fun. I found this funny doodle someone made on pinterest that basically sums up my initial thoughts on the calling. The last few weeks I've decided to make the most of it and change my heart.

After being sustained Scarlett told me "try not to make mistakes." I told her "it's ok to make mistakes." To which she replied "Just try not to though." haha! Which reminds me, one night I was singing Mary's Lullaby to Scarlett. She said "Good job Mom, you don't need to sing it again, but you forgot part of it, you can look it up on your phone and practice tonight." haha!

The girls have been playing this free game on the Roku, it's like old school Snake from my first cell phone. After a few days I realized that the Developer's name was a scripture reference. I thought it was a clever and great way to share a little testimony with others. I hope I find ways like that to let my testimony shine through. Also, the girls were watching Super Why (S3 E18). The name of the episode is "Attack of More Man." But the whole episode it caught me off guard cause I thought they were saying "Attack of Mormon." haha!
Jake and I found a Utah street just a few miles from our house!!!! no way!!! James sent us a photo from a hip restaurant they were at in Indiana, someone carved "Jake + Jen", Jake noticed that is was even carved over the word, "Draper".

I went to the allergist for my annual asthma testing. I told the doctor that my asthma feels great, I don't notice any symptoms. I did the test and it showed one of my lung functions was at 53%. They made me do my fast acting inhaler then do the test again. The function jumped up to 69%. My doctor circled the results and said (very loudly) "You have asthma!" haha! He said that since I've always had it I don't know what normal lung functions feels like. Ugh. So, I'll keep taking my medicine and being careful. Blah blah blah.

Primary pianist is THE BEST calling in the church! I just finished about 6 years of it, and I miss it. Seriously, THE BEST!!!! Have fun!

Thanks for highlighting Skye in your post. Otherwise, we don't get to know her very well!

What a fun post. Sorry you have asthma though. The primary really cannot do without a pianist. You are the unsung hero. Get a padded chair to sit on for relief. Love all the pix.
