UT: Glauser Olympics

While we were in Utah we got together to do a Glauser grandkid photo shoot to tell Mom & Dad Glauser that we love them and miss them!    As you can see from the last few posts, my girls are really cooperative when it comes to taking photos...

We thought a change of venue would help - I guess not!

But they were all smiles when it came time to play on the swing set.

We began our official Glauser Olympics.  There was Team Pony, Team Super Heros,

Team A Child's Hope, and Team Black.

The first event was to see who could melt their ice cube first...

The next event was to see who could unroll an entire roll of crepe paper first using only one hand.  My girls LOVED this one (though we weren't very competitive).

A Child's Hope Team Captain got really into it:

Next came the Frisbee toss.  Everyone got one chance to knock down water bottles on a table.

Out of everyone who tried - I was the only one who knock one down.  Finally Team Pony wins one event!

For my event I came up with this crazy idea: show one person from each team a simple picture, blind fold them, then they use washable markers and draw their picture on another team member's hands, the person getting the "tattoo" has to try and guess the picture.  It was kind of complicated, but I think it turned out to be fun.  And I wanted something that my girls could enjoy - which they did!

The last game was "crack the egg" each team put a member on the trampoline and every other team sent one person to try and crack them.  Jake was our "egg" and he was amazing!  Finally they called it after several min.

Scarlett cracked McClaine by falling on him - he was too nice and caught her instead of winning the game.  Taken down by a 4 year old!  ;-)

Prizes for all the kids - bubbles!!!

Clean up was almost as much fun as the original games!

It was a great year for the Glauser Olympics.  I can't wait for next year's games!

This is such a fun tradition!

I love your team Pony shirts. So clever.

I didn't know those type of swings were made for twins. It's nice that the twirls are still able to fit like that.

I need to start stalking Mary and Christy's blogs again. I can't believe how big their kids are.

And finally, I have a great picture of Parker from our last trip to Paul's parents' house. Everyone else is smiling beautifully and Parker is in my arms kicking and screaming. I still haven't decided whether or not I'll post it. It's really not his best look. But even when your girls aren't cooperating, they're still so darn cute! I just want to kiss their faces right off.
