"Unfavorable"

Still no baby... dang my hospitable body!

The past few doctor's appointments have been fairly optimistic.  I was making good progress.  In fact, my OB told me:
"If 100 women had the same due date as you, I would
expect you to be about the 15th person to deliver"

When I went to the doctor this week, the attitude was much different:
"You have what we call an unfavorable cervix"

How did I go from being 15th to unfavorable?  My body stopped changing for whatever reason.  I'm just stuck at 65% effaced.  I asked if he was going to strip my membranes this week, but he said it wouldn't do much and just hurt me like crazy (that explains last week's appointment).

Luckily everything's still going great with our tiny dancer.  She and I are both healthy and not in danger at all.  So he sent me home to bake for another week.  But the plan is to induce me next week...

Why is it that the only toned muscle in my body right now is the only muscle I don't want to be toned?

Alls I have to say is, "I love you Jenni!" I can feel of your optimism in your writing! Do you need me to bring you over some chocolate? How about ice-cream?!!...=)

The good thing is that no pregnancy has gone on forever, and there is an end in sight!
When I was pregnant with Lizzy, I thought it would never end. I was a week overdue, and still nothing. Unfortunately, even after being induced, and in labor for over 24 hours, still no baby! Hence, the c-sections for all of my pregnancies. My body would like to keep them in there forever! Although, this has been a good thing, since I've never had to worry about premature labor (even with my twins!) Take comfort in knowing that all of this will be history, and your sweet little girl will be in your arms sooner than you realize!
We'll be praying for you!

Rude--how dare they call your body parts unfavorable! Hosers.

Come on, baby girl! Decide to be born already!

I think she's going to be stubborn. :)

She is so comfy and warm in there. I am glad you are both still healthy. Good luck!

You know, for the first 38 weeks they probably found your cervix to be quite favorable. Having their cake and eating it too, aren't they?!

I'll be thinking about you and praying for you tomorrow. What a great day to have your sweet baby - it is our 10th anniversary. :-)

Love you!!!

I agree with Emily & LL...man you come from an amazing family! ;)
I was early with Angie & Ella and late with Abby. As frustrating and never ending as it seemed, it was so nice to have a nice, big, healthy baby as an end result! Big babies are good sleepers, and you don't have to wake them every 2 hours around the clock to force feed them so that they can get some weight on asap...so just think of how nice it will be to get some sleep when your little dnacer is resting!
*fingers crossed* Baby is on her way soon!
