- I realized I only have $20 cash, so I had to borrow $2 from a coworker
- Went down to the 2nd floor vending machines to buy a $0.75 can of DP - the machine ate my money without giving me my soda (rude!)
- Went down to the 1st floor vending machines to buy a soda - turns out they only have bottles for $1.40. Let's do the math: $2.00 - $0.75 = $1.25 < $1.40!!!
- A stranger suggested I go to the cafeteria to get reimbursed for my $0.75 - there was no one there
- Ran into a friend who gave me a quarter
- Went to the Pepsi machine - dollar reader was broke
- Went to the Coke machine - took my dollar, but when I put in my 2 quarters they kept going straight to the coin return, I finally got them to work - put in my selection, the machine attempted to give me my soda, but with no success!!! The machine took my money and did NOT give me a soda!
- I went to the cafeteria for a second time to get my money for two failed vending machine attempts. Luckily there was someone there to complain to. The girl said I would have to come back when they were open. But she finally felt back for me, unlocked the sodas and handed me a bottle of Dr Pepper.
All that for a DP.

I hate vending machines- they always seem to steal money. Glad the girl took pity on you and gave you your fix.
A small price to pay for a DP if you ask me.

How irritating.
Our IT dept used to always tell me to go get a cup of coffee. "Pushing more buttons won't make it better" they'd say. I always thought a trip from the window down to the street below would fix a lot of things... :-)
We are DP fans too. Ahhhh...the things we do for it!
