Dad & Mom Seaver Came to Visit!!!

Dad & Mom Seaver came and spent the weekend with us! It was so much fun - a much needed dose of family! We had a blast and went on many New England adventures! Here's a quick recap:

Mark Twain house
Toured the inside of Mark Twain's house, it's crazy cool and looks like a ginger bread house. Sam (aka Mark Twain) even had an electric burglar alarm system installed in his house - way back then!

USS Nautilus
We got to walk inside the first nuclear powered submarine, it's super cramped in there, I have more appreciation for the Navy!

Mystic Seaport
We went down to Mystic Seaport on the Long Island Sound for some fresh seafood (I ate chicken) and a walk on the water. So pretty!

Boston
We spent an entire day in Boston, walking the Freedom Trail (we even got Rock Star parking). Got to tour a warship, walk inside lots of old and historical buildings, and saw the original Cheers bar. We ate Boston Creme Pie at The Parker House - they're the people who actually invented it! (little secret: it wasn't actually that good... the Boston Creme Pie ice cream is much better).

Church
On Sunday we all went to Church. Dad & Mom got to see that the church is still true outside of Utah.

Pratt & Whitney
We got to walk around the PW visitor center and show Dad & Mom the engines that we work on. *Major Score* There was a photographer with all his gear set up in front of an engine - so he let us climb in and took our picture! All four of us fit in the Bellmouth of the PW4000-112"! These things are huge!

We had such a great time! It was a jam packed, yet relaxing, weekend! Thanks so much for coming and visiting us Mom & Dad!!! I miss you already!

Also, thanks to everyone else who's come and visited us out here - we really appreciate it. And for the rest of you - our door is always open... well, not literally - but if you would like to come visit NY and Boston, just give us a call!

I don't get the stonewear/stoneware reference, but it looks like a score was settled. You didn't mention what you ate at Cheers. Very interesting that you just skipped over that detail. Hmmm... ;o)

Jenni and Jake! LOVED the pictures! You made me miss Boston. I need to get over there. It looks like you hit more historical sites in one weekend than I have in 6 months we've been here! Good work! I'm sad we didn't get to meet your parents. They look really cool.

So cute! I wish I had a little bit more money so that I could come visit you guys, but I've burned through it all looking for law schools. Sigh. No more discretionary funds.

Anyway, I got to talk to your dad about the trip out there today--sounds like it was just FABULOUS!

Love the pictures!

How fun! You really appreciate those visits from the parents when you live so far away. :-)
