Puppy Preschool & Swimming Lessons

The rec center by our home is fantastic.  Scarlett finished up her drop-off preschool classes with 6 weeks of Sports R Us.  They asked the kids to roll down a cheese mat, most went length-wise, but Scarlett fully committed to a somersault.

Then they had them throw a football through a hoop - first try she got it!  Then the squiggle balance beam.  This girl loves sports!

I came across another class they offered.  Two classes of Puppy Love for all kids 1.5-5 years with a parent.  Puppy class that all of my girls could attend?!?  Yes please!  So Jami and I took all the girls to have some puppy fun!

Making hand prints - they LOVED this!

The class had a lot of Clifford-themed fun.  Like a dog house for coloring.

Measuring how tall they are compared to Clifford.

Digging for dog bones in the sandbox.

They had some crafts we didn't finish in class, so we got to take them home and continue the fun.

Finishing our doggy houses (tissue boxes that were spray painted).

LOVE THESE PUPPIES!!!!

A few months ago I signed the girls up for swimming lessons, cause that's our tradition here in Michigan winter.  It wasn't until the week before the lessons that I thought "what in the world was I thinking?!?  I am huge pregnant and I have to get in the water with the twirls!?!"  Luckily my friends let me borrow their maternity swimsuits so my belly wasn't hanging out!

The twirls loved being in the water.  When we got in the deepish end Jaide exclaimed: "I'm swimming!  I'm swimming!"

Look at these cuties!

Scarlett is in the older class now - the wonderful class where parents don't have to get wet!  She loves swimming!

Their classes were an hour apart.  So Scarlett stayed home with Jami while Jake and I took the twirls to class.  Then we scooped them up in their towels, put them in the wagon, and took them home to get changed (since we live so close).  Once we got home, Jake took a fast shower then took Scarlett to her class while I showered with the twirls.  It was a slick system that bypassed the gross changing rooms (they're not really gross, it's just that I don't like public showers in general).

Yes, this happened.  33 weeks pregnant in all my glory.

Weird Winter and February Fun!

This winter was so weird - mild days warm enough to play outside followed by snowstorms and freezing temperatures. One day Scarlett wanted to go play on her bike, but I told her it was too cold.

Scarlett: How cold is it outside?
Me: The temperature where water freezes.
Scarlett: Oh, you mean zero degrees Celsius?

hahahahaha!!!!!!!! Love that girl!!!!!!!!

Bike fun!

Love these little hats!

Painting in the snow.

The puddle was more fun than the snow!

Sledding (aka Dad's snow workout)...

The girls found some old magic tricks of ... er... someone's....... (don't laugh, magic is awesome!)  So Jake's been teaching the girls the ol' slight of hand!

Jake is such a wonderful father! He does such a great job teaching the girls all sorts of fun things like where's Waldo (thanks Aunt Carolyn!)...

Airplane...

Horsey....

All the girls wanted to ride at once...

Shooting Bottle Rockets...

We had some dry ice left over one day, so Jake put on a dinner show...

Then we put some dish soap in the bowl, watch what happens when the girls pop the bubbles...

The girls like to catch the quadcopter (aka Jake lands it in their nets). I love how they always wear helmets - safety first!

Hanging out in the basement: Scarlett created a zip line and Jake playing basketball with the girls...

The twirls do this funny things where they roll over the ball in order to grab it with their legs and return it to Jake. Silly girls...

Jake took Scarlett on a very windy day to fly a kite...

Jake working on his new wood working hobby...
